The eminent Uruguayan jurist, scholar, and diplomat died in the early hours of October 13. As Secretary for Legal Affairs, Dr. Arrighi played a vital role in coordinating legal matters across OAS bodies and represented the organization in numerous forums. His academic career was equally distinguished: he taught public international law at universities in the Americas and Europe and at The Hague Academy of International Law. A man committed to dialogue and mediation, he leaves a lasting legacy of service and kindness. May he rest in peace.
