Yesterday, Dr. Hugo Llanos Mansilla, honorary member and current president of the IHLADI, passed away. An eminent figure in international law, Professor of Public International Law at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and, among others, at Harvard and Stanford Universities, Dr. Hugo Llanos Mansilla carried out an intense research and institutional activity as an international civil servant. His contributions to the general theory of public international law, the law of the sea and, more recently, to the consequences of climate change for international law are particularly noteworthy. RIP.
